Update on Current COVID Protocols
as of 17 July

  • We have returned to the Common Cup on Sundays and will offer wine and grape juice. There will be no intinction (dipping into the cup).
  • Masks at indoor services are strongly encouraged.
  • We will continue to wear masks in the office in all common areas, and those who have private offices may request visitors to wear masks. Please be respectful of staff wishes.

As a reminder, there are various levels of comfort in our community with masking, handshakes, and hugging, so please be respectful of others whose decisions differ from your own.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and flexibility. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Rev. D. or a member of the Vestry.

Please Join Us for a Farewell Celebration

In Honor of
The Rt. Rev. Ian T. Douglas, Ph.D.
Bishop Diocesan

Saturday, September 10; 2- 5 PM
Camp Washington
190 Kenyon Road
Lakeside, Connecticut 06758

The time is coming where we must bid farewell to our beloved bishop diocesan. Join friends, colleagues, and all our siblings in Christ across Connecticut to dance, eat, celebrate and honor Bishop Ian for his 12 years of dedication to the Episcopal Church in Connecticut.

Camp Washington is located in scenic Lakeside, Connecticut, situated less than one hour from Hartford or New Haven. Complimentary buses will be available from each Region, excluding the Northwest Region, as parking is limited at Camp. (Carpooling is encouraged for those in the Northwest Region.)

When ordering tickets you will be asked if you will be taking a region bus. If so, the region, bus pick up location, departure and return times, and other pertinent information will be included within each option. This information will also be included in your Eventbrite registration confirmation email.

Invitees must be fully vaccinated to attend this event. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required at the door. Masks are not required to be worn; but encouraged for guests more comfortable doing so.

There is no charge for this event. Deadline to register is August 17. Inquiries may be directed to one of the event co-chairs, Laura Daly at msdalynac@gmail.com or Alison Hollo at ahollo@episcopalct.org

Barbara Roos, Assistant to the Rector, will be out on vacation from Thursday, July 14 and returning to the office on Tuesday, July 19.

The Aumbry Candle is lit this week to the glory of God and in loving memory of the one-year anniversary of the passing of James David Register by his mother, his son,
his family and friends.

Bring Your Reusable Water Bottles
to Church

As the weather has been heating up on Sundays, have you found yourself wishing you could easily get a cold drink of water? Now you can! There is now a water dispenser for cold, room temperature, and hot water located in the Baptistry near the Baptismal Font. (The Baptistry is the area behind the lectern in the front of the Sanctuary.) We will not be providing disposable cups so please bring your reusable water bottle.
Fresh Flowers
for the Altar

Summer is upon us and the Flower Guild is looking for fresh cut flowers to adorn the altar for the months of July and August. Only one arrangement is needed! Share the bounty of your garden with Trinity. If you are interested, please contact either Percy Williamson (860-922-6271) or George Chien (860-690-7024) for dates you are available.
Special Prayer Request

A member of our parish, Jacqui Lucier has advanced kidney disease and is in need of a transplant.

As we pray for Jacqui, we also ask that you prayerfully consider being screened as a potential kidney donor. For more information about living organ donation and to sign up to be screened, please visit nkr.org/SBB483. Please encourage your friends and family to consider donor screening.

To hear Jacqui talk about her illness and need for a transplant, watch this clip that has aired on local news.
Prayers for Ukraine

We pray for the people of Ukraine.
As we pray, you are strongly encouraged to support efforts to assist Ukrainian refugees by donating to the International Rescue Committee (www.rescue.org) or another reputable agency on the ground.
