4 July 2021
O God, you have taught us to keep all your commandments by loving you and our neighbor: Grant us the grace of your Holy Spirit, that we may be devoted to you with our whole heart, and united to one another with pure affection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Connect via Realm!

Invitation to Realm

Have you received an email entitled “Trinity Episcopal Church: Join our Online Community” (the from email address should be from notifications at onrealmmail dot org? It went out on Monday, June 28 and contains instructions on how to register for Realm.

You will be able to see your giving history, connect with small groups, and more easily communicate with other parishioners (who have signed up for Realm). The more people use it, the better it will be! Please note that you are able to control how much information is shared with whom. Additionally, personal information for anyone under 18 is automatically limited and children under 13 are not allowed to have a login (their information can be managed by their parent/guardian.)

If you haven’t received an email, please check your junk mail.

If you still don’t find it, please reach out to Rev. D or Barbara to ensure that your correct email address is in the system.

Detailed instructions on registering for Realm, updating your profile information, and managing your privacy can be found on the website.

P.S. Realm will be used in addition to our current methods of communication, not instead of them.

The Church office will be closed on Monday, July 5th in observance of the July 4th holiday.

Worship Ministries. Volunteers Needed!

As we move forward and gather for future services, please keep in mind all the Worship Ministries that help to create such wonderful services here at Trinity Church.

We are looking for volunteers for our Altar Guild, Usher and Flower Ministries. No previous experience is needed. If you would like more information, please contact Barbara Roos in the office and she will connect you with the ministry leader.

A/V Guild

After taking a step back from recruitment to continue to refine the system, we are once again seeking volunteers to be a part of the A/V Guild. Don’t worry about your level of technical skill. If you can press a button on a remote control, then there’s a place for you on the team. If you would like more information, would like to volunteer, or would like to come watch the a/v guild at work on a Sunday to get a sense of what they do, please be in touch with Jake Troiano or Casey Rosseau.

Please email office@trinityhartford.org or call 860-527-8133 ext. 204 and Barbara Roos will provide contact information for Casey and Jake.

Trinity Book Group

For its next gathering, which will be in September, Trinity's Book Group has chosen The Story of More: How We Got to Climate Change and Where to Go from Here by Hope Jahren. In concise, highly readable chapters, the author takes us through the science behind the key inventions—from electric power to large-scale farming to automobiles—that, even as they help us, release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere like never before. She explains the current and projected consequences of global warming and the actions that we all can take to fight back. All are welcome to attend this meeting, which will be September 24th, 7 pm, which is expected to be in-person! Location TBA.
