Update on Current COVID Protocols
as of Sunday, 30 October
-
We are offering wine and grape juice by intinction only. Please remember that if you wish not to receive wine, receiving Bread only imparts the full benefit of the Sacrament.
-
Masks at indoor services are strongly encouraged.
- We will continue to wear masks in the office in all common areas, and those who have private offices may request visitors to wear masks. Please be respectful of staff wishes.
As a reminder, there are various levels of comfort in our community with masking, handshakes, and hugging, so please be respectful of others whose decisions differ from your own.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and flexibility. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Rev. D. or a member of the Vestry.

Women Together gathers weekly to explore our Christian faith and practice through book discussion, prayer and fellowship.
We meet Tuesdays from 2:00 to 3:15pm in the reception room at St. John’s (679 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT). We will begin discussing Your Sorrow Is My Sorrow, Hope and Strength in Times of Suffering by Joyce Rupp on November 1st ."The author relates the Seven Sorrows of Mary to our own sufferings, and opens for us a vast reservoir of courage, strength, and wisdom. Her book is about us. It offers us compassion, comfort, and healing.”
The books we choose are usually available at amazon.com and other booksellers.
WT has been attended by women from St. John’s, Trinity, St. James and St. Monica’s.
Please contact Linda MacGougan or Cathy Rowe if you would like additional information.

Trinity Book Group –
October Meeting
When We Were Orphans, by Nobel prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro, is Trinity Book Group's next selection. Set in China, it's a suspenseful and psychologically acute novel, offering a meditation on the shifting quality of memory, and the possibility of avenging one's past.
Book Group will meet Friday, November 4th, 7 - 9 pm, at the home of Anne Rapkin. All are welcome to attend, whether as a one-time event, or regularly. Please let Anne know if you plan to attend. anne.rapkin@gmail.com
