Pollyann Thomas, a member of our parish, departed from this life on September 7, 2022.
We extend sympathy to Jannel, her daughter, and to the entire Thomas family, and pray for the repose of Pollyann's soul, now in the nearer presence of our Lord.
A funeral service for Pollyann will be held at Trinity on Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery.
Father of all, we pray to you for Pollyann,
and for all those whom we love but see no longer.
Grant to them eternal rest.
Let light perpetual shine upon them.
May her soul and the souls of all the departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

The meeting is on Friday, Sept. 30th, from 7:00-9:00 pm, and will be hosted by Amy Arlin at her home in Avon. Please let Amy know if you plan to attend so she knows how many goodies to prepare. Swords to Plowshares:
Transforming Guns into Garden Tools
On Saturday, October 1, the public can try their hand at living out the Biblical call to turn “swords into plowshares”. Using a portable forge, participants will transform previously surrendered gun barrels into gardening tools and jewelry.
The program will take place at Church of the Good Shepherd, 155 Wyllys Street, Hartford CT.
It will run from 11 am to 2 pm and is free to the public. This is a family friendly event.

Even if you don’t have a pet to be blessed, you are invited to join the celebration of all of God’s creatures.

Thank you to Trinity College!
For many years Trinity Church has been the beneficiary of an annual community volunteer program (also known as Do It Day) by Trinity College students. On Saturday, September 10, sixteen members of the Trinity College Men’s Ice Hockey team worked around Trinity Church’s campus.
In an afternoon they put the sanctuary back to normal configuration; moved extra cushions and chairs to the basement to clean up the aisles; cleared a path to one electrical panel in the basement; cleaned out and reorganized the outside storage container; clean up the debris on the pathway between the alley driveway and Huntington Hall; weeded the area from behind the outside storage container to the gate in the back corner; and cleaned up the pile of brush that was in front of the back gate.
What a difference inside and out! Thank you!
