We are working hard in preparation for the American Legion Auxiliary National Convention in Louisville Kentucky. We are only a few weeks away from your Delegates representing our Department to the National Organization. It is a time of celebration for everything accomplished, evaluations of anything that fell short, and strategically positioning ourselves for this year's focus and reaching our new goals.

Included in this distribution is the pre-registration form for our Department Fall Conference. Please be advised that you do not need to send any money today. We truly understand that situations can change. If you would like to remit your payment ahead of time, please make sure that the monies are received to the address on the form no later than September 28th. There is a QR code to electronically submit a pre-registration that you can pay for when you arrive at the conference. The QR code listed is only for a form and will not accept payment. Please help me get a headcount that I can relay to Dodge City's Unit and Post family so they can better prepare for meals, refreshments, and the overall space setup. The QR Registration Form will close down on Sunday September 27th at 11:59pm. Please remember YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER before attending. It is being requested as a courtesy to help the team prepare and be responsible with our resources by not over buying food, supplies, etc. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Also included is the order forms for the roses (and weaths for District and above) for the Eisenhower Pilgrimage. Please get these orders in as soon as you can to ensure that your unit is properly represented during the memorial service. The Eisenhower Reception and Dinner registration is also included. This is a dinner and reception held the evening before at the Chapman American Legion Post. The dinner is always exceptional and the fellowship with the entire Kansas American Legion Family while we host guests and leaders from neighboring Departments is a great way to get to know others in the Department.

Finally, our Department has been blessed to be the very first Department selected for Incoming National President Dr. Coral M Grouts official visit. Unit 4 in Wichita is graciously hosting a reception and dinner for her visit on September 7th (Labor Day). The flier is attached with RSVP deadlines and the cost per meal. Please mark your calendar and RSVP early to secure your spot. 

On Tuesday September 8th, we will be eating lunch with the National President at Winfield's Post Home during their Taco Tuesday's. Taco's are $5.00/ea. We will be arriving between 11:45am-noon. 

Additional information will be provided in the coming weeks on the firm schedule of events for the National President's Visit. We encourage and welcome all members to come to one or more stops to meet National President Coral Grout and learn about her project, her focus, and her passion for the Auxiliary.
