Dear Parishioners and Friends,
We invite everyone to the New Year's celebration, on Saturday,
January 11th, 2020.
The celebration will start at 7 pm (right after Vespers - 6 pm)
in St. Sava Cathedral Hall.
Tickets are $20 for those 13 years of age and above (entry for children 12 and under is free), while students and senior citizens tickets are $15.
Dinner and one drink included.
Music: DJ Damjan - Ex YU pop-rock, modern pop and kolo!
No reservations required.

Драги парохијани и пријатељи,
Позивамо вас да дођете у што већем броју на Новогодишњу прославу у суботу, 11. јануара, 2020., са почетком у 19 ч (одмах након Вечерње - 18 ч), у сали Храма Свети Сава у Кембриџу.
Улазница је $20 за особе преко 13 година (улаз слободан за децу млађу од 12 г.), $15 за пензионере и студенте. Вечера и једно пиће су укључени у цену карте.
Музика: DJ Дамјан - Ex YU поп-рок, модерни поп и коло!
Улазнице могу да се купе на сам дан догађаја, резервације нису потребне.

This year St. Petka Kolo in Boston will make significant Christmas donations to
St. Petka Monastery and Orphanage
in Paracin, Serbia for the mentally disabled and
Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church
's Soup Kitchen in Allston, MA, which feeds the hungry.
Additionally, we are once again sponsoring the
Cambridge Family & Children's Services
Christmas holiday gift drive for their children.
This facility supports children looking to be adopted, children in foster care, young adults transitioning out of foster care, families fostering children and much more. Each child in the program is given two $25 gift cards for the holidays. For some children, this is their only Christmas present. Please help Kolo to support these kids by sponsoring one ($50) or more young person. We will be accepting donations for this program on
Sunday.

Уколико желите, сада можете да изаберете песмицу коју би ваше дете да рецитује на прослави Савиндана у
недељу, 26. јануара, 2020.

НАПОМЕНА: Имајте на уму да се редослед песама не подудара са стварним редоследом извођења током прославе Савиндана.
Молим вас да пријавите ваше дете на време, да бисте били сигурни да ће да рецитује песмицу по вашем избору.

Poems for the 2020 St. Sava Celebration
|

Dear parents,
If you so desire, now you can choose a poem for your child to recite during the celebration of St. Sava Day (Savindan), which will take place in our St. Sava Cathedral on
Sunday, January 26th, 2020
, starting at
12 pm
. All children are welcome to participate.
The deadline for choosing the poem is
Sunday, January 19th, 2020
.
Here is a list of available poems:
To sign up, go to the link below and choose the poem you are interested in. Please write your child's name and age next to the poem you choose.
NOTE: Please be aware that the order of the poems does not correspond to the actual performance order during the Savindan celebration.
In order to ensure that your child recites the poem you want, please sign up in a timely manner - the signup sheet is on a first come, first served basis.

И оставивши Назарет дође и намести се у Капернауму приморском на међи Завулоновој и Нефталимовој Да се збуде шта је рекао Исаија пророк говорећи Земља Завулонова и земља Нефталимова, на путу к мору с оне стране Јордана, Галилеја незнабожачка. Људи који седе у тами, видеше видело велико, и онима што седе на страни и у сену смртном, засветли видело. Отада поче Исус учити и говорити: Покајте се, јер се приближи царство небеско. И идући покрај мора галилејског виде два брата, Симона, који се зове Петар, и Андрију брата његовог, где мећу мреже у море, јер беху рибари. И рече им: Хајдете за мном, и учинићу вас ловцима људским. А они тај час оставише мреже и за Њим отидоше. И отишавши одатле виде друга два брата, Јакова Зеведејевог, и Јована брата његовог, у лађи са Зеведејем оцем њиховим где крпе мреже своје, и позва их. А они тај час оставише лађу и оца свог и за Њим отидоше. И прохођаше по свој Галилеји Исус учећи по зборницама њиховим, и проповедајући јеванђеље о царству, и исцељујући сваку болест и сваку немоћ по људима.

Sunday of Holy God-bearing Fathers
And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles: The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
