2022 was a remarkable year for the Weingart Center as it marked the first phase of construction on Weingart Towers.
Weingart Towers are part of a multi-phase approach that Weingart Center is taking to provide permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County. Residents of these towers will benefit from:
Case Management • Clinical Mental Health Services • Medical Services & Referrals • Access to Job Training & Employment Assistance • Education Services • Dental Services • Much More
Construction of Tower 1 began at 555 S. Crocker Street. This first tower will be a beautiful 278-unit high-rise that reaches 19 stories in height and will be the largest single addition of its kind in L.A.’s history. The tower will feature 228 studio apartments, 47 one-bedroom apartments, and 3 one-bedroom apartments for full-time onsite managers. All units will include furnishings, central heating and air, fully equipped kitchens, and window coverings. And through Weingart Center Association’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly design, the tower will achieve, at a minimum, a Green Point Gold Certification.
Tower 2 will be a 12-story building and will offer an additional 104 units of permanent supportive housing: 103 studio units + 1 studio unit for a full-time onsite manager.
Residents of both towers will have access to the following amenities:
Pet-Friendly Living • Career Center • Art Room • Music Room • Lounge • Fitness Center • Computer Lab • Patios • Terraces • Ground-Level Courtyard
#TowerTuesdays
Every Tuesday, the Weingart Center shares weekly time-lapse videos of the construction process, which can be viewed across our social media outlets as well as on our website.

On November 10, 2022, Los Angeles Rams cheerleaders and the official Rams Mascot, Rampage, visited 11010 smB, the Weingart Center’s newest permanent supportive housing development for seniors and senior Veterans.
Their visit was part of the L.A. Ram’s annual Salute to Service campaign, designed to support service members, veterans, and their families by partnering with organizations that create a positive impact on our nation's heroes.
The Rams Cheer Team enjoyed a tour of 11010 smB and helped pack 50 Welcome Home Kits for clients moving into the new development. Each kit contains household essentials and cleaning supplies provided by the Rams. Pillows were provided by Sleep Number. The Welcome Home Kits will be distributed to new residents during our upcoming ribbon cutting (date TBD).

- Pet-friendly living
- Artful modern design
Are you curious to see how the modular 11010 smB development was created? Well, you're in luck! We have a special walkthrough video (below) featuring Weingart Center Board Chair, Dave Jones.
