Drew and Jessica Welch
Missionaries to Liberia
We want to extend our deepest appreciation for your love and concern for our family over these past few months as we have continued to heal from the loss of Drew's dad. It has been a challenging journey, but God has been faithful to bring us through to a new day. Our original plan was to return to the States for a few months of itineration this past fall; before returning to Liberia in January. Due to family circumstance and the impact of COVID our itineration needed to be postponed. Drew is working with the Executive Director of Global Missions Vince McCarty and Field Director Dr. Jacob Vambo lll on the possibility of attending the Liberian national church conference in January of 2021 before itinerating with our family this spring. We are eager to share about what God is doing in Liberia.
While stateside we are staying in regular communication with our Liberian leaders. COVID has added to the already challenging conditions the people of Liberia face every day, but we rejoice in the reports of salvations and baptisms across our churches. Our brethren are grateful to have received some financial assistance this past month for feeding school children and pastors. In addition, support was sent to put a roof on Christland Open Bible Church and to complete the Bethel Open Bible Church.
At the Legacy Learning Center, Pastor Urias reports that the weekly children's outreach has been productive and the adult bible studies are growing. Upon our return to Liberia we aim to fully launch the various ministries through the Center including teaching literacy, school readiness, and various workshops for pastors and teachers.
Thank you for your generosity in the midst of these challenging times. God is truly greater than our circumstances. If we have learned anything from our Liberian brethren, it is to be thankful for just waking up another day. Hope in Christ brings strength to keep going.

Drew and Jessica's heart's desire is to pour out the Lord's compassion upon the people of Liberia. Drew shares: "We are honored to help rebuild the foundation that was laid by former Open Bible missionaries. We are working with national leaders to build healthy churches and schools through discipleship and training. The Legacy Learning Center is a place to share the love of Jesus, while teaching people of all ages to read."
