Staff look forward to the coming year

The LitNet team is looking forward to another great year of working with students to help them build skills, reach goals, and connect communities. Staff members share some goals they're excited about for 2023:

Robin Ryan

"As the new semester begins, I am excited to meet students, and I look forward in 2023 to the creation of a Student Advisory Board that will increase opportunities for students to influence decisions regarding our work."

Jennifer Peterson

“I’m excited to welcome more students, staff, volunteers, workplace and community partners, and a new leader to Literacy Network in 2023! This will be an important year to ask ourselves: Where do the needs of our community stand after the last three dynamic years? How can we expand equitable access to learning throughout Dane County, so that every adult has the opportunity to build the life they envision?”

Lilly Rotter

"We are looking forward to offering new in-service trainings that will help tutors expand their knowledge around adult education topics."

-Lilly Rotter, Volunteer Manager

Marie Knibbe

"I’m looking forward to working with coworkers and Wisconsin Literacy to create resources to help tutors confidently support their students in developing digital skills. Many students are coming with goals of building computer skills and tutors do not always feel confident helping with this. This year, we're working to build training for them."

-Marie Knibbe, Director of ABE & GED Instruction

Leanne Chan

"I'm excited to continue developing digital literacy resources for our students, for example, sending emails, how to use a computer, and typing!"

-Leanne Chan, Director of ESL Tutoring
