CYVYC Advisory Board

CYVYC Advisor Jack Bradley recently met Valerie Williams, the Director of the Office of Special Education Programs at the US Department of Education. Jack raised several issues with Director Williams about better support for students with disabilities in postsecondary education and alternatives to guardianship. Director Williams expressed her appreciation to Jack for his advocacy efforts and stated that she too is committed to working on more robust transition planning. She invited Jack to stay in touch and shared that her office would be issuing updated guidance on several topics in early 2024.
