Transportation Solutions
Happy Sustainability Month, Spartans!

In honor of sustainability month, we want to share with you a couple of updates regarding a sustainable commute to campus.

VTA Light Rail is Now Full Operational
First, the VTA light rail is now fully operational once again! All lines are resuming their full service for the first time since May of this year. Second, we want you to share your transit stories with us! We want to feature you and your story on our social media page to show how taking alternative modes of transportation has affected your life in a positive way!

Join our SJ Transit Stories Instagram Contest
Submit your story using this link for a chance to be featured and entered in a raffle to win a $25 Amazon gift card.

Support Seamless Bay Area
Transportation Solutions would like to call on you to support Seamless Bay Area, a non-profit project that is actively aiming to implement a fully integrated Bay Area transit system. There are currently 27 different transit agencies that offer their respective services and fare systems. An integrated transit network would make taking transit easy and affordable. One of the near-term recommendations is a pilot program for a “go anywhere” pass for universities. That means a heavily discounted pass that will allow students to travel throughout the Bay! To take action, attend the VTA Board meeting this month and provide a public comment about why students want an integrated transit system and a “go anywhere” pass. For information on the meeting and how to submit a public comment visit VTA’s website, or join Seamless Bay Area’s mailing list for invites to upcoming meetings, talking points, and general updates.

Follow us on Insta @ts_sjsu
Be sure to follow our social media for updates regarding Seamless and other transit-related items.
