Piedmont Public Schools is excited to announce Mr. Steve Spears will be joining our team at Piedmont High School as the new principal, starting from the 2023-2024 academic year.
Mr. Spears brings with him an impressive background in education. He has been a dedicated educator for thirty-four years. Most recently, he served as the Principal of Bristow High School, where he enjoyed developing positive relationships with students, teachers, staff, and parents.
Mr. Spears spent twenty-one years as a teacher and a coach, primarily with Yukon Public Schools. He transitioned into leadership roles, with principal, assistant principal, and athletic director positions at Norman Public Schools, Amber-Pocasset Public Schools, and Western Heights Public Schools.
Mr. Spears is a proud graduate of Yukon High School and Oklahoma State University. He has three daughters and four grandchildren, with one more on the way. He is eager to begin his new position in Piedmont, and being closer to his family is an added benefit to becoming a Wildcat!
At Piedmont High School, Mr. Spears is committed to working collaboratively with students, teachers, staff, and parents to continue to provide an exceptional learning environment for all students. He is passionate about promoting academic excellence, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
