We are thrilled to announce that DDC will be performing ONE in RAD's 15th Anniversary Michigan-Made Performance. This is a significant milestone for RAD, and we are honored to be a part of this celebration!

DDC will feature "Indivisible" from its iconic repertory, the premiere "On Being" by Emma Davis, and a sneak preview of an excerpt from the "Captive" project. Highlighted are Guest Professional Companies and Youth Groups who will bring their own unique styles and perspectives to the stage.

Two years in the making, Captive, a significant highlight of DDC's 44th season, is a full-length multi-arts concert piece that engages artists to create and perform original choreography by Barbara Selinger, music by Mike List, poetry by Jo Powers, and stories by DDC Dancers. What sets Captive apart is its moveable set created exclusively for the work by renowned design architect, Louis Gauci. Save the date for opening night performance and reception at the Marlene Boll Theatre, June 8, 2024.

DDC's experienced artists will guide you through the process of reflecting on your life experiences and creating a performance that shares your story with others. DDC is excited to invite you and your family to an adventurous arts experience at our Family Dance Day event! Get ready to put on your dancing shoes and experience the joy of movement with a guided creative dance workshop suitable for family members of all ages and abilities. After the workshop, we'll be performing a selection of our recent works and sharing insights into the creative process that inspired the choreography. You'll also get to see talented children from DDC's youth programming and guests perform! So, come and celebrate creativity with us at Family Dance Day! Ticket info coming soon!

Our classes are designed to help intermediate, advanced, and professional dancers embrace the elements of the human condition and unlock their technical and creative potential. Whether you're looking to refine your technique, explore new styles, or simply challenge yourself, our classes offer a welcoming and supportive environment for dancers of all levels.
