Labor Day... what do we celebrate on this day? A day of laboring over the BBQ? A day of relaxing? A last hurrah at the local pool? A big, back to school / work bash? While
Labor Day simply signifies the end of summer for some people, is has a significant history in our country. However, all of those who spend the day relaxing and having fun, are actually reaping the intended rewards! The holiday is a day-off after a year of hard work!
It was created
as a
"workingmen's holiday"
in the late 19th century by the labor movement,
and became a federal holiday in 1894. The holiday, celebrated on the first Monday of each September, pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. Learn more on

As Labor Day passes, summer draws to an end. It won't be long before the air becomes crisp and the leaves change to yellow, orange, red and brown. Fall is a busy time, often spent wrapping up projects and planning for the new year. Maintain a healthy work-life balance and enjoy this season of change!
