To Our Amazing Middle School Families,
The 2017-18 school year is almost here and we can't wait to welcome in the year and our students! As we pray, plan, and even dream about the upcoming year, we know God's calling and blessings are unique for this year. We are joyFULL and confident that He will amaze us! He always does! We hope you join us in this joyFULL, confident excitement!
This year's theme anchors the school year and each of us in powerful truth from Psalms 16:11, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Our greatest prayer and desire is that, together, we will seek His will, that we will dwell in His presence, and because we do, we will all experience true joy, His joy!
We are not just joyFULL but we are ready! As you soak up the last, lazy days of summer know that the middle school team of faculty, staff, and administration is hard at work preparing for an amazing school year. As educators who take our calling to care for your children seriously, we are committed to providing an education that is exemplary and meets the needs of all students. We are committed to nurturing a Christ-honoring environment in which our students thrive. And, we are committed to a strong community as we build relationships, experience life, and have fun together! Across all areas, we want our students to grow as they are challenged, inspired, and engaged. We desire that they love learning, take risks, and embrace opportunities. We hope every student's faith will deepen as they gain greater understanding of who God is, who they are in Him, and joyfully walk in an identity firmly grounded in being His.
With a dedicated and stellar team of teachers, staff, and administrators in place, we are equipped to make great strides toward our strategic goals in providing exemplary academics, whole child development, and a Christ-honoring environment. Specific areas of focus within these goals include:
- Exemplary Academics: Build student mastery, increase individual achievement, engage active learning, and cultivate critical thinking to develop powerful learners who thrive now and in the future.
- Spiritual Formation: Encourage the growth of authentic faith, personal relationship, and Biblical understanding to strengthen faith ownership and develop students who are Kingdom minded, Kingdom leaders, and Kingdom changers.
- Connected Community: Strengthen and continually grow a vibrant, healthy, comprehensive student life program in which all individuals are positive contributors and actively engaged. Foster an environment in which students are included, belong, develop relationships, and find life and joy as part of the middle school community.
- Culture of Innovation: Provide multiple avenues for discovery, creativity, invention, innovation, and problem solve. Provide relevant, real world learning experiences both in and outside the classroom.
- Individualized Learning: Approach each student as a unique learner and provide learning opportunities and courses tailored to abilities, strengths, needs, and interests so that each student can reach their full potential and flourish.
