We are excited to welcome back three 2020-2021 Bradford Fellows to the Commonwealth - Caroline Cai (EHS), Crystal Collier (DMH), and Elaine Driscoll (MGC). Over the past year, the Fellows attended Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and earned their Master in Public Administration (MPA). Like many, our Fellows experienced remote learning and discovered new ways to virtually engage with peers from around the globe. We recognize the opportunity and capacity for our Bradford Fellows to dramatically impact the future of the Commonwealth, through the innovations they will inspire and the contributions they will make to their agencies and secretariats. We proudly welcome them back to the Commonwealth workforce.

Caroline Cai Executive Office of Health and Human Services The Bradford Fellowship was transformational in every way, from classes, to people, to the unprecedented times in which we find ourselves in. Harvard Kennedy School is also unique in that it gave me the space and time to reflect and renew my commitment to public service. I am returning to state service with a renewed vision, great confidence and new tools to improve EOHHS government service delivery to the residents of the Commonwealth.

Crystal Collier Department of Mental Health, Health and Human Services My academic experience was incredible. It exceeded my expectations and I have gained knowledge to further my ability to create equitable environments and opportunities for those individuals and communities that have been marginalized and underserved. I also had the privilege and space to learn again without having to carve time in an already full schedule between my family and work. I am most excited to use what I have gained from my Harvard Kennedy School experience to help develop current and future leaders at DMH to better serve the citizens of the Commonwealth.

Elaine Driscoll Massachusetts Gaming Commission I continue to reflect on the countless takeaways from this tremendous program. My Harvard Kennedy School studies facilitated my realization that I am inspired by adaptive challenges and find my purpose through collaborative problem-solving on complex matters. My year dedicated to the study of public administration also intensified my pride in the remarkable and resilient work performed by countless state employees and so often under trying circumstances. I look forward to working alongside and being inspired by the public servants who tirelessly contribute to effective government and always strive to improve the greater good.
