Happy New Year Laurel Families,

We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season, celebrating with family and friends!

As we left school in December, I could not have been more grateful for such a supportive community throughout this school year and especially during the night of our Art and Literature Faire.

The Art and Literature Faire is not only a time to celebrate the work of students and faculty alike, but to connect with each other and support our school. I felt that the night truly embodied our theme of “Home: An exploration of Life” as each class interpreted this theme in such thoughtful and developmentally appropriate ways, shown through art, academics, documentation, and with specialists.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing faculty and administrative team, whose efforts do not go unnoticed, for consistently facilitating projects that encourage our students to learn in creative ways through multi-disciplinary instruction. This learning is evident each day but is truly showcased during the Art and Literature Faire.

Our administrative team pulls our overarching theme together, making sure our main hallways and larger community areas are festive, full of information, and fun!

I am so grateful to be starting off the new year with such an amazing team and for us all to be able to continue to strive for excellence and teach students a love for learning without boundaries!

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and look forward to many celebrations to come in 2026!

Best,

Amy

Green School - Reminders

The Laurel School has been a certified Cape & Island Green School since 2017.

We continue to support this initiative by reducing our energy consumption and costs, cut down on waste in our landfills through recycling and reuse efforts, as well as changed buying practices by switching to environmentally compatible products. All of these actions make an impact on our environment. We ask for your help and support in this when possible by bringing in reusable bags, utensils, water bottles etc. instead of single use items. Thank you all for your consideration and support!

Allergy Reminders -

We are a peanut/tree nut aware school and kindly ask that those items not be brought into school. Thank you all for your support in this.
