Carr Center's Open House

Come join the Carr Center Faculty, Fellows and Staff for our Fall Open House! We will introduce our fellows and faculty, give an overview of the Center's programs, opportunities, and classes.

Upcoming Study Groups
Study Group: Human Trafficking - Empowerment-based Approaches in Anti-Human Trafficking

The Carr Center for Human Rights Policy invites you to join a study group on empowerment-based approaches in anti-human trafficking. The study group, which will meet four times this semester, is convened and moderated by Dr. Laura Cordisco Tsai, Fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights.

Registration is capped at 20 participants.

Study Group: Metamorphosis - New Rights on the Horizon

Carr Center  Senior Fellow Bill Schulz and  Executive Director Sushma Raman will lead this study group - workshopping chapters and research for their forthcoming book, which will address prospective changes to rights brought about by such developments as a non-binary understanding of gender; the development of robotic (autonomous) weaponry, the emergence of the notion that Nature itself, including rivers, may be rights-bearing entities, etc.

United Nations Delegation - Apply Now
The Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School seeks applications from students to participate in a special delegation to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. 

The trip, being held over two full days on October 18 th  and 19 th , 2018, will include meetings with senior UN policymakers.

The Carr Center is excited to announce the continuation of its Speaker Series:  The Fierce Urgency of Now: Human Rights in 2018

The series will be facilitated by Professor  Mathias Risse .
