What's New at the PMC
New Hours
In our first semester in MLK177, we hoped we could provide a space for the community; in order to make our space more accessible to you all, we've shifted our hours! We will now be open Monday-Thursday 12PM-9PM and 12PM-5PM on Fridays.
New Website
Peruse our new and improved website, complete with our programs, community resources, & more!
New Distribution Spots
Our distribution program is expanding! We have several new locations around campus and Berkeley. Check them out, or join our program here.
New Job Opportunities
The PMC is hiring! We are looking for communications assistants, programs assistants, and a design consultant.
Community Events & Deadlines
Feb. 1st
Berkeley Poetry Review seeks language-based and/or experimental writing, translations, art, and (with less frequency) essays and interviews. They are particularly interested in work that complicates prevailing conceptions of race, gender, sexuality, and poetic form itself.
Feb. 1st
The Berkeley Political Review offers a unique opportunity on campus. As the only non-partisan political outlet at UC Berkeley, students who are accepted to BPR have the opportunity to be published with high quality, original content that will make an impact. They encourage qualified applicants of all backgrounds interested in politics, policy, and current events to apply.
Feb. 9th
{m}aganda aims to foster critical dialogue within and across their communities through arts, literature, and education. They come from a heritage of Pilipino/American artists, writers, and cultural historians, but also extend their hands and voices to any and all who own truths that need to be spoken.
Feb. 13th | 6pm
The Berkeley Forum is a non-partisan, student-run organization that hosts debates, panels, and talks at UC Berkeley.All events are open to the public and free for UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff. Registration is required. You can sign up to receive notifications when tickets become available on their upcoming events page.
Feb. 12th - Mar. 12th
The Berkeley Fiction Review is a forum for short fiction, published annually. We invite submissions of previously unpublished short stories from around the country and the world.

Partner Resources
The Digital Media Lab (DML) Consortium consists of five Digital Media studios/classrooms. The Digital Media Labs have equipment available for student check-out, including digital video cameras, lighting kits, audio recording devices, microphones, mic stands, boom poles, and a variety of audio and video production accessories. Two Digital Media studios are located in Dwinelle Hall and three are on the second floor of Kroeber Hall.
The J‑School maintains an extensive database of the best and newest internship and job opportunities, drawn from industry newsletters, Internet job listings, and contact lists in print, broadcast and new media.
The Spring National College Media Convention will be March 7-10, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis. The hotel deadline is Friday, February 9 so don’t delay in booking your room. Visit http://cmanycspring.com/hotel/ to reserve your hotel room today. You can also register for the convention. The early bird deadline for registration is Friday, February 16.
