Teacher Feature!
Mrs. Anna Marie Altieri
Our new sixth grade teacher is a familiar face. Mrs. Altieri is thrilled to be back and she looks forward to a great year, being in a new grade. She is also excited to bring back the Lego Club this year.

Welcome back, Mrs. Altieri! We are so glad to have you back!
Tech Tidbits!
A section to keep you update-to-date on our technology

Weekly, this section of the newsletter will keep you informed on all the technology news of our school. This summer the Diocese of Bridgeport began to work with a new management database and gradebook website called Rediker Plus Portals. This new website will allow for you and your child to keep updated with their grades weekly. You will also be able to keep current with their upcoming assignments and events in their classroom/school. Stay tuned for more information on how to access this really cool tool!
What is it and how can I help my child stay in the yellow & green where learning is optimized!
This summer, our faculty and staff went to Yale University to learn about RULER, a program that builds strong emotional intelligence in our students through emotional strategies. This is a program from not only the teacher to learn and utilize but also a program where teachers, students, and families can use a common language around emotions. Understanding how we feel and correctly defining those feelings gets to the heart of what we need to do to succeed both in school and in life. Every week this newsletter will provide tips on how to bring RULER not only to the classroom but to home as well.
