“Alleluia! We are excited to report that our bishop has lifted restrictions for reopening our doors for worship beginning May 30. We will not require masks for those who are fully vaccinated. We ask that those not vaccinated wear masks indoors. We will not have limitations on attendance, so no need to sign up. We will no longer require social distancing. And did I mention that we can begin singing as a congregation again? Alleluia!
We understand that some people will choose for a variety of reasons to continue with masks and social distancing. Please respect the space and wishes of others. We will have some pews reserved for those who still want to maintain social distance; just ask the ushers when you arrive. We want to be sure we all stay safe. For those of you who are not yet ready to attend services in person, we will continue to stream this service live on Facebook
Per the bishop’s request, we will still be distributing communion in one kind only (bread) and not use a common cup. We will continue for the next few weeks to have one service at 10am. Very soon we will be back to our regular 9am and 11am schedule.
Please let us know in the office
if you have any questions or concerns about regathering. We’re happy to talk with you.
We have been waiting for this for a very long time. I want to thank you all for being patient and understanding as we strove to make decisions that kept everyone safe through the pandemic. Staff of church and preschool worked remotely and creatively; our worship team and musicians worked tirelessly and pivoted on the spot to keep us connected through worship online; ministry leaders stepped up and adapted. Along the way we learned so much, not only about technology but more importantly, how we are connected in Christ. We are indeed a covenant community where no one stands alone.
Thank you for staying with us, for continuing your giving, for prayers and being the body of Christ for one another. With your help we will soon be back to our joyful worship, lifelong learning, celebrating community and engaging service.
Can’t wait to see you all!
