Allen Lund Company Press Release
Welcome Back Verbum Dei Interns

La Cañada Flintridge Calif., September 4, 2025:

For Immediate Release

The Allen Lund Company is pleased to welcome back our Verbum Dei Jesuit High School interns to ALC HQ. Verbum Dei has developed a program that gives students the chance to gain important job training skills. At ALC, interns perform different tasks with various departments to build upon their education and gain exposure to company culture.

HR Manager, Carrie Petersen commented, “The 2025-2026 school year marks our 18th year as a partner with the Corporate Work Study Program at Verbum Dei Jesuit High School. Watching these young men develop both their office skills and personal confidence has been an incredible experience. We are excited to welcome back two of our students from last year and get to know the two new students joining us at our headquarters location.

Senior Director of HR, Matt Barnes stated, "The Allen Lund Company is thrilled once again to welcome back our Verbum Dei interns this fall. Each year we invest in the development and growth of these young students and in return, they give us their dedication, hard work, and tremendous attitudes. We watch the graduates of this program with pride as they go on to college and careers, and we can’t wait to see what great things this current class of interns have in store for the world."

About the Verbum Dei Work Study Program

The signature component of Verbum Dei Jesuit High School is the Corporate Work Study Program, a national educational model in which businesses invest in student workers to make college-preparatory education possible for students with economic need. This unique program allows businesses to fill entry-level clerical positions with no overhead, and it provides students with the ability to earn a significant portion of the cost of their private, college-preparatory education and the opportunity to gain professional work experience.
