Dear families,

We had an amazing first day of school here at Corpus Christi! It was a joy to see all the smiling faces coming back to campus after summer break. Our new teachers are so excited to be part of our CCS family and said everyone was so welcoming. I can't think of a better way to start the new year than with such positivity!

As we look ahead to this upcoming school year, we know it will provide many opportunities and adventures for your children to grow academically and spiritually. We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children, and our faculty and staff members are committed to working with you in a partnership to carry out our school's mission.

Thank you again for entrusting your child's education to Corpus Christi School. We look forward to a wonderful year!

Warmly,

Kristy F. Martin

Principal

Carpool Reminders

It Gets Easier, We Promise!

Full details on Carpool drop-off and pickup are available on our website and in our Back-to-School Kickoff Guide. As a reminder, we have three waves for pickup:

Wave 1: 2:45pm K5, 1st, and 2nd

Wave 2: 2:55pm 3rd, 4th, and 5th

Wave 3: 3:05pm Middle School

If you have children in different waves, remember to come at the time of your oldest child's wave. Please do not enter the carpool line before the assigned time as it can cause delays during dismissal.

Preschool families should reference arrival and dismissal procedures for Preschool students by clicking the link in this email or referencing the Back-to-School Kickoff Guide.

Remember that you must have your child's hang tag hanging from your rearview mirror so it is readable from a distance. This will help make carpool go much quicker.

Auxiliary Class Updates

Performing Arts + SEL Classes

We are excited to share a few announcements regarding our special classes for this year. For the 2026-2027 school year we have partnered with Sunny Side Theater to provide performing arts classes for students in grades PK3-2nd grade each week. Students in grades 3-8 will still have the opportunity to participate in Performing Arts, as Sunny Side will offer after-school Drama Club opportunities, in addition to partnering with us on our school play like last year.

Instead of attending a weekly performing arts class during the school day, students in grades 3-8 will now attend Social Emotional Learning (SEL) classes with our Child Life Specialist, Mrs. Chambliss, as part of their weekly auxiliary class rotation. Research has shown that social and emotional learning (SEL) significantly boosts student success, improving academic performance by an average of 4 percent. We believe our elementary and middle school students will greatly benefit from weekly SEL classes and look forward to Mrs. Chambliss having the opportunity to work with them in this way. She will continue to work with students in our Hearts In Healing program and plans to continue visiting K-2 classrooms for lessons on a regular basis.

Medical History Form

Last Call

A Health and Medical History form is required to be updated for all students each year. This form may be completed using the link in this email. In addition, if your child needs to take medication at school, a Parent Consent Form for Medication must be completed. Please note, a doctor's prescription is MANDATORY for all prescribed and over the counter medications, to be administered to the children.

Our Health Room Coordinator, Mrs. Beall, will review all the submitted information to ensure updated medical records and any necessary medications are on file with the school.

If your child(ren) have a change in their medical history during the school year, you can always find these links under the "Health + Wellness" tab of the Current Families section on our website.

Emergency Contact Form

Last Call

Each family is asked to complete an emergency contact form prior to the first day of school. Should you need to update your emergency contact information during the school year, this form will be available on our website in the Current Families section under the Health and Wellness tab.

Walking to School?

Complete a Release Form

If you live close enough to campus for your child(ren) to walk to school, you must complete the Walker Release Form. Some of you may have already completed one of the paper forms available in the school office. If not, you may fill out a walker release form using the link in this email. If you already completed a paper form you DO NOT have to complete the digital form.

After School Care (ASC)

Registration + Practice Release Form

Our After School Care program offers supervision for our students until 5:45pm each day. ASC rates may be viewed on our website here. If you are in need of After School Care for your child, please use the link in this message to register for ASC.

If your child(ren) will participate in CYO sports and will be picked up by their coach from ASC, please complete the practice release form for each sport they register to play at the beginning of the season.

Spirit Shop

Show Your School Spirit

Our Corpus Christi spirit shop is not only the place you can purchase Saint and Spirit shirts - it's also the go to place for all Corpus Christi swag. Want to show your Cougar pride? Stock up on spirit wear by shopping at our spirit shop. Funds raised from spirit shop sales support our school and programs for our students. Thank you to CCS parents and Corpus Christi parishioners, Liv and Lennox Urbane, for running our spirit shop!

Lunch from Tadd's Coastal Kitchen

Account + Ordering Details

If you need to order lunch for your child(ren), please visit the Tadd's Coastal Kitchen website. Information on how to set up an account (including the password for our school orders) are listed on their website. You can also access monthly menus via the Tadd's Coastal Kitchen site. As a reminder, our school office is not able to view ordering or account information for your student. Each day Tadd's Coastal Kitchen will provide us with a list of which students have ordered lunch for that day and our teachers will ensure students who ordered lunch go through the lunch line to pick up their food.

Back-to-School Open House

K2 - 8th Grades

August 18th | 6pm

Our Back-to-School Open House provides you with an opportunity to visit your child(ren)'s classrooms to learn more about classroom-specific policies and procedures. Two 30-minute sessions are held so that those with more than one child may visit each classroom. Parents with a child in Middle School should visit the Middle School session first. Please note this is an adult only event. Due to the number of parents that attend this event, we are unable to provide childcare. This year we will NOT have a meeting in the Banquet Hall prior to the classroom portion of the event.
