Welcome Message
What is the Parents Association?
Who are we?
Welcome Back to School!

Dear St. Stephen of Hungary Families, Teachers and Staff,

Welcome back, everyone!

We hope you all had a wonderful summer and the start to the school year has been a great success!  We are thrilled to meet you all at Back to School Night but wanted to first take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about the role of The Parents Association (PA) at Saint Stephen of Hungary School (SSHS) and our Executive Board.

The PA strives to maintain our strong sense of community and will continue to create connections with our new SSHS families. The PA is committed to providing our students, staff and faculty with the enriching activities we look forward to each year. We are here to answer any questions you may have and to support everyone in our community. With that, we would like to welcome all of our new families to SSHS.We are looking forward to meeting you and encourage you to attend our first PA Meeting which will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at 6:30pm in the School Auditorium.

In order to stay up to date with all the information from the PA, we encourage you to subscribe to the PA Page on the school website and the PA Remind text system, as well as following our school on Facebook and Instagram.

Please join us in welcoming our new Board Member, Jaqueline Wong. Jackie will be our new Events Board Chair and we are thrilled to have her as a part of the team.

At this point all families should have received an email from their class representative(s). The class representative(s) are assigned to the entire grade and not to a particular class, as a result both classes will receive the same information. Please see below for a list of your 2022-2023 class representative(s).

Below you will also find our bios along with our personal contact information. If you have any questions or suggestions please don't hesitate to reach out to any one of us at anytime!

We are looking forward to another amazing school year on East 82nd Street!

Best,

The PA Executive Board

What is the St. Stephen of Hungary Parents Association?

The SSHS Parents Association (PA) is a non-profit volunteer organization which serves to support the students, teachers and staff at St. Stephen of Hungary School.

PA meetings are typically held the 1st Tuesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to come listen and take part in discussions at meetings. Every parent/guardian of a SSHS student is a member of the PA.  Attending meetings are a great way to get to know fellow parents, learn and talk about happenings at and around the school, and to hear updates from administrators and teachers.

In addition to hosting monthly meetings, the PA provides support to families and staff experiencing significant life events, takes part in various community service projects and of course, plans many fun events for our students and staff throughout the school year.
