Parents Association

What is the St. Stephen of Hungary Parents Association?
The SSOH Parents Association (PA) is a non-profit volunteer organization which serves to support the students, teachers and staff at St. Stephen of Hungary School.

PA meetings are typically held the 1st Tuesday of the month. Everyone is welcome to come listen and take part in discussions at meetings. Every parent/guardian of a SSOH student is a member of the PA. Attending meetings are a great way to get to know fellow parents, learn and talk about happenings at and around the school, and to hear updates from administrators and teachers.

In addition to hosting monthly meetings, the PA provides support to families and staff experiencing significant life events, takes part in various community service projects and of course, plans many fun events for our students and staff throughout the school year.

Who Are We?
Lisa D'Ambrosio / President
My husband, Brian and I have lived on the Upper East Side for over 15 years. This is our 9th year as members of the SSOH Community. We have three children, Andrew (5th grade), Anna (2nd grade) and Alexander (K). I have been a class rep for two years and have chaired the Annual Auction for the past three years. Last year I served as the Student Enrichment, Curriculum and Admin Support Chair and this will be my first year as PA President.

Prior to having children I was an accountant at a public accounting firm and then at Saks Fifth Avenue. I look forward to my new role working with the PA Board members, administration, and all the wonderful families that make our school so special.
Lauren Bernhard / Vice President
This is the start of our seventh year at St. Stephen. My husband, Kyle, and I have two daughters; Lillian is in fourth grade this year and Isla is in second grade.

I was born and raised on the Upper Eastside of Manhattan. Prior to having children, I was a Special Education teacher. I was a class rep for two years, and for the past two years I have been on the PA Board leading Student Enrichment Events. This year I look forward to my new role as PA Vice President.
Casey Husveth / Communications Chair
This is our family's 5th year at St. Stephen of Hungary. My husband, Ted, and I have called New York City home for almost 20 years. We have three children, Maeve (2nd Grade), Penny (PK-4) and our son Henry (born this past March). This is my first year on the PA Board but I have been a class rep for the past three years.

In my former life I worked in finance at Morgan Stanley then went on to get a degree in nursing and have been a RN for the past 8 years at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell. As Communications Chair I look forward to keeping families informed of all the great events the PA has planned for our wonderful St. Stephen students and staff.
Rosa Alaimo-Quinn / Finance Chair
My husband, Kevin, and I have twin fourth graders, Carolina and Kayleigh. This is our family's seventh year as part of the SSOH community and my fourth year as Finance Chair. We are native New Yorkers and UES residents for over 15 years.

In addition to my PA duties, I am Chief of Staff for Integrity Square LLC, a boutique investment banking firm that focuses on the Health, Active Lifestyle and Outdoor ("HALO") sector.
Katie Jacob / Student Enrichment, Curriculum & Admin Support Chair
This is the start of our family's 5th year at St. Stephen. My husband, Matt, and I moved from New Orleans to New York in 2006. Prior to having children I worked as a Physical Therapist at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

We have two children at St. Stephen, Ella is going into 4th grade and Cooper into 2nd grade. Over the past few years I have enjoyed volunteering for many PA events, but this will be my first year on the Board. From the moment we stepped into St. Stephen it has felt like home and I look forward to serving our school community in my new role.
Patricia Werner / Community Support Chair
My husband, Paul Miller, and I are the proud parents of rising 5th grader, Danny Miller. My family joined St. Stephen nine years ago, when Danny started as an Early Bird. I’ve served in many different roles at the school. Paul and I are members of the Faithful. Strong. Growing. Capital Campaign Steering Committee. I’m also a member of the Golf Outing Committee, co-chaired the Mother/Son Pasta Cooking Event in 2021 and I have been a class rep several times.

Outside of school, I’m Special Counsel at the law firm Kelley, Drye, & Warren LLP where my practice focuses on intellectual property protection and enforcement. This is my first year on the PA Board. I’m excited to work with the Board and school community to make this another successful year at St. Stephen.
