Welcome back to school! The first days of a new school year are filled with opportunity, excitement, and renewed hope. Together we aim to harness this moment to ensure that all students have the necessary opportunities and support to prepare them for this year.
The Board of Regents and Department are deeply committed to supporting New York’s teachers and school leaders as you work to help our students realize their full potential. We are dedicated to making the system work for all students and families, and we know that you are too.
The Department is also leading a statewide campaign to promote back-to-school ready-to-learn resources, compiling tools and supports from across New York to assist students with supplies as well as academic, social, and emotional resources (#NYSEDReadytoLEARN). We plan to update the page throughout the school year with opportunities for volunteerism and information on how to find the tools and resources our students need to thrive.
