Welcome back to Tulita!
Whether you’re new to our school or a returning family, we’re so happy to have you as part of our community. We’re also especially excited to welcome our Dual Immersion Mandarin students and families to Tulita this year and look forward to all they’ll bring to our growing school community.
My name is Kyla Burlin, and I’m excited to be serving my second term as PTA President. With a 5th grader and a 1st grader at Tulita, I love being part of this community and helping create a welcoming, connected school experience for all of our families.
We hope every family will consider joining the PTA and finding a way to be part of our community, whether that’s attending an event, volunteering, sharing ideas, making a donation, or becoming one of our sponsors.
Every family plays a part in what makes Tulita such a special place, and I’m looking forward to another fun and memorable year together!

Becoming a PTA member is one of the easiest ways to support Tulita and stay connected to our school community. Your membership helps strengthen the programs, events, enrichment, and experiences we’re able to provide for our students throughout the year.
PTA members also receive access to PTA newsletters and updates, helping you stay in the know about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and everything happening around Tulita.
There’s no obligation to volunteer, attend meetings, or take on a role; simply joining makes a difference.

NEW EVENT: Tulita Tailgate!
We’re kicking off the school year with a brand-new family event! Join us for Tulita Tailgate on Friday, September 18 from 5–7 PM in the Tulita cul-de-sac.

National PTA Reflections is Back! 🎨
This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me.” Students are invited to get creative and share their story through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, or visual arts.
Culture can be the foods you eat, music you love, celebrations you enjoy, places you visit, languages you speak, family traditions, memories, values, and so much more.
Have fun creating something that shows what culture means to YOU!

For more than 35 years, the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation has partnered with our community to
ensure every RBUSD student has access to opportunities that inspire, challenge, and prepare them for the
future. Because an exceptional education requires more than state funding alone, RBEF invests in programs
that support the whole child - from their very first day of school through graduation.
LAST YEAR, 15% OF FAMILIES IN OUR DISTRICT INVESTED IN RBEF, AND THEIR GENEROSITY TRANSFORMED OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERY STUDENT.
Together, we funded Music (vocal and band) and Physical Education for more than 4,000 elementary students, Science Camp transportation for nearly 3,000 students in 5th-8th grades, free PSAT testing for all 750 students in 11 grade, Robotics and STEM opportunities across all levels, Innovative Teacher Grants benefiting all 9,400 students in RBUSD, and so much more. Every gift opened doors, sparked curiosity, built confidence, and prepared students for the future.

Every student is writing a unique story. For one child, that story begins by discovering a love of music. For
another, it’s building a robot, stepping onto a college campus for the first time, finding confidence through
athletics, or meeting a professional who inspires a future career. These moments don’t happen by chance.
They happen because a community chooses to invest in its students.
YOUR GIFT ISN’T SIMPLY A DONATION. IT’S AN INVESTMENT IN OUR STUDENTS’ POTENTIAL.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We invite you to make a one-time investment of $500 per student, or join our R.I.S.E Circle (Raising Investments in Students' Education) with a recurring monthly gift of $45 per student. Most importantly, we encourage every family to give an amount that is meaningful and appropriate for them. Every gift, regardless of the amount, helps ensure that every RBUSD student continues to benefit from the programs that make our schools exceptional.
