WELCOME BACK WEDNESDAY

WELCOME BACK SUNDAY

We invite you to find ways to connect with us at Knollwood

through our Welcome Back week and onward.

Welcome Back Wednesday

September 7

Intergenerational Missions and Ministries Fair

On Welcome Back Wednesday, all ages will celebrate our Knollwood community regathering for a new and fresh season of being the Church together. During this evening fair, we'll discover fruitful ministry and mission opportunities and explore ways to gather, grow, and serve this fall. A wide range of leaders, groups and teams will be present to share who they are, what they have planned for the coming year, and how Knollwood family and friends can be involved. Booths will feature activities for children and youth.

Since this is an intergenerational evening, children’s choirs will dismiss at 5:45 so that our kids can join with their families in the Fellowship Hall for dinner and programming for all ages.

~On this first Wednesday night of the fall season, dinner is complimentary~

Please be our guests for lasagna (meat, veggie, and gluten-free options),

salad, garlic bread, and desserts by Trina Jackson.

Sunday Evening

4:30  Youth Choir

5:30  Sunday Night Youth Group

SND.yg is our Sunday evening gathering for the entire youth group. Part fun, part prayer, part discipleship, all community building, this is where we build the bonds of our youth group community. We share a meal together in the Noffsinger dining room, have some fun, spend some time in prayer, and grow together through small group conversations about faith and life.

Knollwood Guest Gathering

Sunday, September 11

9:30 - 10:30 am, Fellowship Hall

Led by Dr. Bob Setzer

This will be a casual gathering during the Sunday School hour for newcomers and visitors to Knollwood who want to know more about the life and mission of our congregation.

Dr. Bob will lead this conversation about Knollwood’s theology and practice around worship, discipleship, and service. During this conversation, there will be plenty of time to ask questions and/or offer your own observations about the life and witness of this very special community of faith.

Sunday Event: Pottery by Hand

Sept. 11 & Sept. 18, 1:30-3:30 PM

with Pam Boehme & Rodney Stilwell

We will be using clay slabs to make the pieces by hand. Using molds for shaping, participants will learn a simple process to make small and large trays, and bowls. During the second class we’ll glaze their pieces for firing.

No prior experience in clay is required. All levels of interest are welcome. Participation in both classes is required.

Bring additional clothing in which to change after church – if you like.

We have aprons that will also provide adequate covering of clothes.
