Brittany Sheehy, PhD, has joined the USF Health College of Nursing as Executive Liaison to the Dean, reporting to Usha Menon.

In her role, she will be managing special projects on behalf of the Dean that will span the entire college operations structure. She will be assisting Dr. Menon with and leading strategic projects with key stakeholders across USF Health, USF and the broader community. She will be engaging faculty and staff in identifying opportunities and issues to implement effective improvements and responses.

Dr. Sheehy will serve as a member of the college's executive leadership team.

She previously served as director of Student Affairs at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. She earned her PhD in higher education administration from the University of South Florida.

Dr. Sheehy has served in a number of higher education administrative roles and settings over the past 15 years and has made key contributions to the field through the implementation of new initiatives and processes, project management, departmental leadership, and academic and student development.

In her free time, she loves running and participating in half-marathons, especially trail races. She and her husband, Mike, have two children, Mariah and Micah.
