Welcome conversation!
This Sunday - May 19, 9:15-9:30 am, Paula+'s Office; 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Board Room
If you have recently started coming to St. Francis (or are even just considering the possibility), please come by for this informal conversation over coffee, so we can answer any questions you have about St. Francis, and also share with you ways to feel more connected to what God is doing in and through this community.
Prayer Bead Workshop - This Sunday, May 19th 11:30am, Parish Hall
Theologian Karl Barth wrote, "If we do not pray, we fail to realize that we are in the presence of God."
One of the ways in which we may encounter the Holy is through praying with prayer beads. Following our Lenten Session on Praying with Prayer Beads, many expressed an interest in making them. And so, you're invited to attend the Prayer Bead Workshop -- a time when we will gather in fellowship, make prayer beads together, and practice using them. RSVP to attend and to get a materials list by clicking here:  PRAYER BEAD RSVP. If you have any questions, or would prefer to receive materials information via email, contact Rev. Laurel.
“To Be One...” Evensong Here At St Francis This Sunday, May 19, 4:00 p.m.
By The Combined Choirs Of St. Francis, & St. Peter’s By The Sea Presbyterian Church
Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein, with additional works by: Stopford, Rutter, Courtney, Hagenberg, & Forrest. To understand the sentiment of this modern-classic work by Bernstein, consider this contemporary take on just a few verses from the Psalms:
“Why are the nations in an uproar?...”, Psalm 2; “See how good it is when we all live together in harmony as one...”, Psalm 133
Dr. Mark S. Bennett, conductor; Dr. Jeannie Cobb, conductor; Dr. Hyunju Hwang, organ
