Greetings FIRST LEGO League Explore Teams of Maryland! 

For those who do not know me, I am Amber Driesman, your program delivery partner. I came on board in December of 2023 and am thrilled to be able to continue to provide you support this season.  

I have some exciting news to share with you. As many of you know, there has been some disruption in the program over the past few years in regards to the FLL Explore Maryland Program Delivery Organization. There has been a different one each year for the last three years.  

I’m happy to report that those times are over. FLL Explore MD is extremely fortunate to now be under the wing of FIRST Chesapeake. FIRST Chesapeake was founded in 1999.They have a strong record of providing high quality STEM programming to the students in our district. In addition to running the FLL Explore program in Maryland, FIRST Chesapeake runs the FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition programs in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

It's Time to Dive In!

August 6, 2024 marked the official start of the FLL SUBMERGED season. This theme is sure to be a big hit with our students. There is an ocean of opportunities for learning, creating, working as a team and of course fun!

Registration for Festivals will open on November 1 and will be done through the FIRST Chesapeake website. The registration fee for Festivals for the 2024/25 season will be $75.
