Welcome Home Friends and Supporters:

Welcome Home has moved into a new space that is eight times larger than the space we had been operating in - it is a dream come true. We moved from 250 square feet to 1,650 square feet! We now have 800 square feet to store and pack items for our clients, and a 700 square foot room where our clients can select objects including rugs, vases, decorative pillows and other special items that will make houses feel like homes. The additional 150 square feet is a much needed office and storage room.

We are unpacked, set up and serving clients. Please come visit us - we are now located at 1191 Washington Street, rear, in West Newton.

Thank you to those who contributed to our recent Mother's Day Fundraiser which was a huge success. We are grateful to have a community who gave so generously.

Warmly,

Julie Plaut Mahoney, Ph.D.

Mayor Fuller's Recent Visit

We were so proud to share our new space in West Newton with Mayor Ruthanne Fuller in June. Mayor Fuller was impressed to see our impactful work first-hand and praised our partnership with the Newton Food Pantry as well as our extensive efforts to recycle. Mayor Fuller remarked how important it is that Welcome Home makes it easy to request items with no fees, no forms, and no requirements.

Thank you High School Seniors

BIG thanks to our student volunteers who are graduating seniors: Gabe Burdan, Hailey Espinola, Sabine Holston, Madison Jackson, Sophie Peckler, Jack Stein and Jason Stein. Our student volunteers have held donation drives, coordinated fundraisers and volunteered in the Welcome Home pantry. Congratulations on your high school graduations and please come volunteer when you are home for break.
