MID AMERICAN RACING SERIES AND MCSCC TEAM UP FOR NEW RACING EVENT AND ADDITIONAL SUPPORT WITH CROSS PROMOTION OF BRANDS

(Bartlett, IL USA) April 23, 2021 – Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs (MCSCC) announces today a relationship with one of the Midwest’s most diverse sportsman division stock car series the Mid-American Racing Series, to jointly support a new event in the Midwest market to be held at Blackhawk Farms Raceway on July 3, 2021 with increased cross promotion of both brands of motorsport by Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs , North Suburban Sports Car Club, and the Mid-American Racing Series.

The partnership will see the Mid-Am Racing Series tackle the challenging 1.95-mile, 7 turn road course in South Beloit, Illinois. The picturesque track that dates to 1967 is located on 216 acres on the border between Wisconsin and Illinois and is within 90 miles from both Milwaukee and Chicago. The purpose of this race is to showcase the ever-popular form of stock car racing on road courses, which has blossomed in the past 3-4 years and to help make the Mid-Am Racing Series the most diverse racing series in the Midwest with additional stops on pavement short tracks, pavement mile tracks, dirt short tracks, and now road courses.

"After the recent growth of stock cars racing on road courses nationwide, we were looking for a local stock car series to partner with that would be interested in branching out to become a partner with us at one of our 2021 road course weekends. This new partnership will allow us to expand our identity within the local motorsport industry. I am excited to see what this July 3rd event brings, and where we can take the partnership in the future during the 2021 racing season! said David Wessel, MCSCC President.

A key component of this partnership involves not only the new event at Blackhawk Farms Raceway, but increased exposure for both brands. “There are many offerings that both organizations can bring to the table for each other.” commented Michael Palmer, marketing director for MCSCC. “I came up through the short track world as a driver and there are many aspects of the short track community, we can bring to our road racing experience for competitors and fans alike, and with that we can do the same for the Mid-Am Racing Series by helping them become one of the most diverse forms of racing this area has seen in quite some time.”

We are beyond excited to be working with MCSCC! This is a great partnership, that offers a lot of expertise on both sides. We feel extremely fortunate to have a partner that understands our strategy for growth and exposure. Our joint venture at Blackhawk will add another level of complexity to our championship along with our added dirt race this year. The diversity of the schedule has already seen an increase in talk regarding the Mid-Am series. We plan to bring the fun and excitement of our regular events and put on a great show for all that attend. We encourage everyone to stop in, talk with the drivers/teams/staff, check out the cars, and enjoy a great race. commented Tim, Owner of Mid-Am Racing Series.
