Meet Mountain Lion Casey!

We’d like to introduce you to Casey, a female mountain lion and one of the newest members of the PAWS family.

A strikingly beautiful cat with bright and expressive eyes, Casey is about 13 years old.

She arrived at PAWS in March, one of several animals seized from the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation in Butte County, California. The state’s Department of Fish and Wildlife action resulted from a criminal investigation involving animal welfare related violations of the Fish and Game Code. 

Now safe at PAWS, Casey has settled into her spacious home. Everyone is smitten with this curious, sociable cat who “talks” to her caregivers with welcoming purrs and cheerful “chirps.”
