Mujeres Latinas en Acción, the nation’s longest-standing Latina-led organization, proudly announces Angela Anderson Guerrero as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years of nonprofit leadership, public policy research, and grassroots activism across the U.S. and the Americas, Angela brings an unwavering commitment to intersectional justice, cultural empowerment, and the advancement of Latinas.

Angela joins Mujeres at a critical moment in our history—both for the organization and for the communities Mujeres serves. For 50+ years, Mujeres has been a unique and critical space for Latinas, and the organization's legacy echoes her personal and professional calling.

I am eager to learn from the rich history of Mujeres' leadership, staff, and partners," said Angela Anderson Guerrero.

Over the past three years, Angela served as Executive Director of LIDERAMOS, championing Latina leadership nationally. Her research and volunteer roles with the Latino Policy Forum and philanthropic leadership with organizations such as Hispanics in Philanthropy, Somos El Poder, and Georgetown University’s New Strategies Rising Program have helped her bridge grassroots power with national impact. She continues to bring deep experience from work in Chicago’s Pilsen and Little Village communities, where she lived for over a decade.

In her new role, Angela will lead Mujeres into the next era of organizational development, advocacy, and outreach, building on its powerful legacy while creating bold, strategic opportunities for growth.
