12/31 Last Chance for EIDL

The December 31 deadline to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) is fast approaching, and SBA is asking applicants to apply sooner to avoid issues or delays. To learn more about EIDL, EIDL Targeted Advance and Supplemental Targeted Advance or to apply, please visit the links below.

There are still billions of dollars still available to help small businesses hard hit by the pandemic. You may be eligible to receive up to $15,000 in funding from SBA that does not need to be repaid. Apply here.

Paycheck Protection Program borrowers: If your loan is $150,000 or less, you may be eligible to apply for direct forgiveness through SBA using our online portal.

Follow the steps below.

  3. Apply for forgiveness.

FY22 Travel & Tourism Recovery Grant: Now Open

The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism has announced the FY22 Travel and Tourism Recovery (TTR) Grant Program. Funded at $4 million through the Tourism Trust Fund, the TTR Grant Program is the implementation of FY22 funding by the MA Legislature to strengthen the economy of Massachusetts through the development and enhancement of the state’s tourism industry. TTR Grants are dedicated to marketing campaigns and initiatives that increase consumer spending, support local businesses, and advance communities’ COVID-19 economic recovery efforts in Massachusetts. The grant will provide funding for creative marketing solutions that aid in the recovery and align with MOTT’s statewide My Local MA campaign.

Applications for this competitive funding grant will be accepted through MOTT’s online application portal from December 1, 2021 through January 19, 2022 at 5PM. Awards will be announced in March 2022.

To ensure Massachusetts remains the hub for life sciences activity, the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) is excited to announce the latest round of its Tax Incentive program to create long-term jobs, build a robust workforce, and propel the development of new therapies, devices, and scientific advancements that are improving patient health and well-being.

Town of Dighton Awarded State Grants

The Dighton Board of Selectmen and Town Administrator Michael Mullen are pleased to announce that the Town of Dighton was recently awarded three state grants totaling about $46,800 by the Baker-Polito Administration. One of the three grants that The Town of Dighton was awarded is a $25,000 Community Compact Cabinet (CCC) grant.

The Town of Dighton will use the funds from the Community Compact Cabinet (CCC) Best Practices Program grant to create an Economic Development Plan to help plan for managed growth in the community and future infrastructure investments.

Dighton's recently reinvigorated Development and Industrial Commission plans to lead the advancement of the town's Economic Development Plan through an ongoing partnership with the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD). SRPEDD's District Local Technical Assistance (DLTA) program will also provide matching funding that will enable Dighton to complete a full Economic Development Plan. Read more here.
People Incorporated Recognizes its Own Brayton Awardees

On Thursday, December 2, One SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting along with the presentation of the John S. Brayton Community Service Awards and the Apex Awards. The event was held at White’s of Westport.
The Brayton Community Service Award recognizes volunteer participation of extraordinary nature. Among the eight Brayton Award recipients, three have a connection to People Incorporated. Peter Daley is the Director of Public Relations at People Incorporated, and Julie Ramos-Gagliardi of BayCoast Bank and Andrea Rodrigues of BankFive serve on the committee for the Agency’s new preschool project.
