Jack Lank Interviewed Chief Development and Public Affairs Officer Danielle Fish of URCC Member

The Joe Andruzzi Foundation

Last Wednesday, Jack Lank interviewed the Joe Andruzzi Foundation's (JAF) Public Affairs Officer Danielle Fish who talked about the foundation, their mission, and their programs.

Founded by former New England Patriots three-time Super Bowl-winning offensive guard Joe Andruzzi and his wife Jen in 2008, the Joe Andruzzi Foundation grew out of Joe’s own successful battle with cancer and the couple’s work with young cancer patients.

In 2003, before cancer struck their own family, Joe and Jen founded the C.J. Buckley Pediatric Brain Cancer Research Fund at Boston Children’s Hospital in memory of a young friend – C.J. Buckley – who lost his battle with brain cancer months after meeting the Andruzzis. Over the years, JAF contributed $850,000 to the fund.

In 2007, Joe was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt’s lymphoma, ending his football career. Joe would go on to beat the disease and remains cancer free today, but a new passion grew from his own battle: helping less-fortunate patients and their families.

After witnessing first hand the stress cancer can cause, Joe and his wife, Jen, created the Joe Andruzzi Foundation to help cancer patients and their families meet life’s day-to-day challenges. Today, JAF provides financial assistance to patients and families residing in New England, helping them focus on recovery – not bills.

Here's Joe Andruzzi with URCC Board Member Rebecca Marshall-Howarth.

And believe it or not, Rebecca was wearing four-inch heels.

It's Backup and Recovery Month!

Time for Peace of Mind About Your Data!

A Message from Michelle Carlow of URCC Member CTS Services, Inc.

Michelle Carlow

President and Author

CTS Services, Inc.

260 Maples Street

Bellingham

Dear Client and Friends,

I'm writing to you for two important reasons:

  • April is backup month for all CTS clients. It's time to test everything!
  • I have urgent news about your Windows 11 migration plans. (See the "P.S. at the end of this email.)

Picture this scenario for a moment.

You walk into the office, power up your systems, and nothing works. A hacker encrypted your files overnight, or perhaps an equipment failure destroyed your data.

Or water is dripping from the ceiling. It could be anything you need to recover, get systems back, and access your data!

How fast can you recover? Can you even recover at all?

Without access to your data, how long could your business operate? How much would it cost you in downtime, customer trust, or lost opportunities?

Unfortunately, this isn’t just a hypothetical situation. According to CyberCrime Magazine, 60% of small businesses that lose their data close their doors within six months. It could happen because of a ransomware attack, an accidental deletion, or even a natural disaster. Here’s the good news, though.

These kinds of threats don’t have to put your business at risk.

Why Data Backup and Recovery Matter

A robust backup and recovery system is your insurance policy against the unexpected. Here’s how it works to protect you and your business in critical ways:

·     Business Continuity Matters. Downtime can devastate an operation. With a tested, reliable backup system in place, you can bounce back quickly—even during a disaster.

·     Protect Your Bottom Line. Lost files don’t just mean lost data; they mean lost time, productivity, and revenue. Backup systems save money by preventing costly downtime and recovery efforts.

·     Sleep Better at Night. Knowing that your data is safe, secure, and accessible when you need it means you no longer have to worry about “what ifs.” That peace of mind is worth its weight in gold.

·     Stay in Compliance. If you operate in an industry with regulatory requirements for data security (finance, healthcare, etc.), or if you have business interruption insurance, having tested backups is often required.

Where Should You Start?

We understand how daunting this can seem.

That’s why we’ve made it stress-free for businesses like yours to protect themselves, with modern, easy-to-implement backup and recovery solutions tailored to your size and needs.

You don’t have to figure this out on your own.

Schedule your Backup Readiness Assessment today, and we’ll provide clear recommendations to ensure your data is safe, recoverable, and secure.

Your business is too important to leave data recovery to chance. Take action today and ensure you’re ready for whatever comes your way.

If you need help, request a technical review of your backup strategy by going here, on our website, or call us at 508-528-7720 with questions.
