Welcome to Mental Health Mondays, where we will dive into a myriad of topics to keep your emotional, physical and mental states on the up and up! Stefania here, kicking us off with one of my favorite topics – boundaries! It’s not just a marker of territories and state lines anymore, but of something that we all need, whether we know it or not!
Maintaining mental health often hinges on setting, practicing, and respecting boundaries – in your work, personal relationships, and even in your own habits and self-care.
Setting boundaries is not about shutting others out or imposing upon them, but about ensuring you have the room to nurture your own well-being, while speaking up about what you are realistically able or unable to do.

Have you relocated to the area in the past year to live or work in Tompkins County?
Are you interested in learning more about what Tompkins County has to offer a first time resident or someone returning after years away?
Join us this month at Monks on the Commons! We will meet on the patio if the weather is nice!
- Enjoy conversation, food, and drinks with other residents who are new to the community.
- Learn about services, programs, and volunteer opportunities in the area.
- Explore a business or place that may be new to you.
While the event is geared towards new residents, any resident who feels they would benefit from attending or introducing themselves to new members of our Community are welcome. Significant others and kids are always welcome to attend our Welcome Home events. Food and drinks available for purchase from our host (see menu).
Welcome Home Wednesday is presented by Visions Federal Credit Union, with support from Cayuga Health System and Ithaca College.
