- Children in the Cherub and Alleluia Choirs will sing this Sunday. Please arrive early if you plan to participate.

- Please bring your furry friends (on a leash or in a carrier) with you to the 10:30 service. Stuffed animals and pet photos are also welcome!

- Please plan to stay for a brief reception outside after church to meet Rev. Becky. Children are encouraged to bring homemade welcome cards for her!

If you would like to help those who were impacted by last week's hurricane in western North Carolina, please bring a check made out to Good Shepherd with a note "for Asheville Disaster Relief" on Sunday. We will send the money directly to the Rev. Scott White's discretionary fund at Trinity Episcopal Church, Asheville. Tuesdays, October 1, 8, 15 and 22, 7 pm

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Using the greatest commandment as a guide, we’ll explore how we love God, ourselves, and our neighbors with a grounded and compassionate heart. This class will combine teaching, personal reflection, spiritual practice and small group sharing as we explore the topic of compassion.
