Fourth Saturday Garden and Gather

You’re warmly invited to the next monthly gathering at the cemetery.

Saturday, March 28 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (come and go anytime)

Hello Our Lady families,

Garden & Gather is a monthly, come-and-go morning for families to enjoy the cemetery grounds, tend loved ones’ resting spaces within our guidelines, and connect as a community. Our caregiver team — Leo, Brian, and Sophia — will be available to answer questions, offer guidance, and lend a helping hand.

March theme: Spring Reset – Tidy, Edge, Prepare (Wake Up the Gardens)

This is a great time to tidy winter debris, edge, weed, and prepare spaces for spring.

Community talk (around 10:30 AM)

We’ll also offer a short community talk and Q&A on gardening in an environment shared with deer and bunnies — including good plant choices and organic deterrents that can help.

Optional community service project (10:45 AM – 12:00 PM)

Trail-edge tidy from the Information Kiosk (cemetery map area) down to the Mother Teresa Grotto (this route leads toward the pond area). We’ll pick up sticks/litter, rake leaves off the trail, and trim only what is overhanging the path edge.

Service project check-in: Information Kiosk (cemetery map area)

What to bring (optional): gloves, rakes, hand clippers

We’ll provide: guidance, work-zone direction, and bags for debris

Come enjoy the pond area, which was recently cleaned up in preparation for new spring growth.

Gentle reminder: Guidelines for how spaces can be decorated and gardened are attached. We kindly ask families to honor our guidelines so our gardens remain natural, beautiful, and safe for all.

With gratitude,

Sophia

First Bluebonnets At Our Lady for this Season

The Machalek family has the distinct honor of showing the "First Bluebonnet" in any garden area of Our Lady this year. The family plot is located in the Peace section of the St. Francis Garden.

Thank you, Machalek family, for helping Our Lady display the Texas state flower in the cemetery and adding the vibrant blue color to the garden.
