Spring has sprung with the arrival of new work and new artists at META4 Gallery.
This month we welcomed Michele Rose. Her charming and colourful acrylic landscapes will bring lighthearted elegance to any room. Sheila Davis and Carlo Allion have also been by with new work. Both Sheila and Carlo paint in oils using vibrant and bold brushwork. We have new leather wall pieces by David Trotter, cheerful hand-painted ceramics by Thomas Aitken and Kate Hyde, cats with attitude by David Trant, and spring scarves in stitched linen or denim by Jennifer Hardie. Bonnie will be making one of favourite road trips this month to pick up pottery from Becky Webster, Natalie Prevost, Chris Hierlihy, Wayne Cardinalli and Rosemary Aicher. It will be fun to open up those boxes! And if you also like to hit the road to visit artists, consider the Lake Scugog Studio Tour, happening April 30 and May 1. It’s a great chance to chat with local artists, including META4’s own Hanna Mark.
If you missed out on some of our early spring workshops, we are busy booking more creative opportunities for May and June. You can learn Japanese printmaking techniques, make a felted brooch, a silver bracelet, a pair of earrings, a garden sculpture or learn how to paint or draw. So many fun things to do! Come with a friend or make new friends in our creative and supportive space.
