As the days get longer and the air gets warmer, everyone wants to be outdoors. The mountain landscape transitions from gray to green. Wildflowers appear and birds return. There is no more beautiful spot in Virginia than Bath County to enjoy the arrival of spring.

What's New in Bath County This Spring

Recent months have seen some exciting developments in Bath County that make it an even better place to visit:
Bacova Beer in Hot Springs has opened a kitchen to serve appetizers and sandwiches. Their offerings can be enjoyed on site with a craft beer or are available for carryout.

Snead's 1912 in Hot Springs is transitioning its menu to steakhouse fare. Snead's has been an institution in Bath County for 40 years.

• Bath County community leaders, working with the Economic Development Authority and Chamber of Commerce supported local volunteers and brought in outside help to maintain a number of hiking trails near Lake Moomaw and elsewhere around the county.

Fort Lewis Lodge & Farm was a runner up in the ultra competitive category Best Resort in the recent Best of the Blue Ridge contest in Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine.

Rock Roadhouse Winery is opening a tasting room and wine store in Hot Springs. Rock Roadhouse on Main will be located on the corner of Main Street and Sam Snead Highway.

Hot Springs
Hot Springs was included on a list of Top Ten Best Places in America to Visit Right Now to Avoid the Pandemic. The list was compiled by Forbes and published on its website.

Three Days Celebrating Fly Fishing
The 2021 So Fly Festival is scheduled for May 6 — 9. This unique event was voted a top fly fishing event by the readers of Blue Ridge Outdoors. The festival includes opportunities for guided fishing excursions, as well as a fly casting clinic, wine tasting, yoga by the stream and more. The event is centered in Warm Springs with events taking place all around Bath County.
