Council's Common Cents
Teaching Kids Empathy and Ethics with Money
The kit contains three little boxes; one box is for saving money for something special, one is for spending now, the last one is to share with Needham neighbors who might need some help.
Over the years, we’ve had many requests to involve children in the work of the Community Council. This tool was developed to help children learn about charitable giving and supports the three S’s theory - “Save, Spend, Share”.
You and your child can decide how much money goes in each box and help build good financial habits. When a box fills, empty it and use it! We welcome the “Share” portion of your efforts in our office at 570 Hillside Ave., Needham, MA.

Thank you to our partner Direct Federal for supporting this project.

TECH and TUTORS
New Name, New Logo
More Learning!
How do I print from my iPad? How can I text from my Android phone? When I save a document on my Chromebook, where does it go? We want to be equipped to answer these questions and more!
The Tablets & Tutors program has been great for delivering Fire tablet technology and training to those who need it. But, what about those who have other technologies and just don't know how to use them? Now, we have rebranded our name and our logo and will begin building a curriculum that addresses those questions that we receive on how to use devices other than the Amazon Fire Tablet we distribute.
To register for a class, please call the Center at the Heights at 781-455-7555 or Stacey at 781-444-2415, ext 2120.

Summer is a wonderful time to connect with children. What better way to connect than through a book that can potentially keep a child safe, strong, and free? The CAP Recommended Reading list provides age-appropriate reading for 4-12-year-olds. Parental/Guardian prereview of the books and materials suggested.
