Happy Labor Day sorors! I hope that you are enjoying your holiday. As we approach the end of summer and begin a new Sorority year in Decatur Alumnae, I’d like to thank you in advance for your steadfast commitment. Each of you are integral to our ability to foster significant change in the community. I look forward to serving alongside you as we celebrate the impact of 50 years of dedicated service, unwavering sisterhood, and meaningful social action in DeKalb County. I pray that God continues to bless each and every one of you.

Welcome Back Tailgate

Please join the Decatur Alumnae Chapter at the Welcome Back Tailgate on September 9th, 2023 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Legacy Park.

Sorors are asked to wear their favorite team jersey or shirt.

The Welcome Back Tailgate will feature committee sign up, new member session, competitive games and fellowship.

50th Anniversary

50^th Anniversary Worship Service

A blessing to behold!!! We are nearing the celebration of our 50^th Chapter Anniversary and Celebration. We have planned a special worship service as part of our anniversary celebration and invite each of you to join us on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Philip AME Church located at 240 Candler Road, SE; Atlanta, GA 30317.

We ask that you arrive by 9 a.m. so we can all be seated together. The attire will be business red. Our plan will be to make a donation to the Church’s Scholarship Fund on behalf of Decatur Alumnae Chapter. If you would like to donate, we will accept your donations at our Chapter meeting on September 16th. We look forward to surrounding Saint Philip with a blanket of red as we worship together!

Join us for Meet Me at the Movies: Atlanta Symphony Edition!

Film: Black Panther

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will present Marvel Studios' "Black Panther Live in Concert" featuring a screening of the complete film with the musical score performed live by the orchestra. Tickets range from $45 to $100 and may be purchased at aso.org. The event usually sells out, so don't wait to purchase your ticket. 2024 Membership Dues

The Membership Dues Renewal window for the 2024 Sorority year is now available for purchase on our Chapter Payment Site (prices include online processing fees).

For those already on our roster for the current year (22-23FY and 2023FY Extension), make sure to select the 2024 options (the product items at the top of the page listing) and NOT the 22-23FY or 2023FY Extension options which are still active. Also, make sure to download your confirmation DAC Info Packet that is included with your emailed receipt from the site.

For those desiring to pay via mail, make sure to include your completed Dues Form with your payment. Late Fees and Reinstatement Fees will apply this year, so ensure you get your payments in by September 30, 2023.

Per notification from Grand Chapter, annual member donations to Distinguished Professor Endowed Chair (DPEC), Delta Research & Educational Foundation (DREF), Preserve Our Legacy Initiative and International Sustainability Initiative Contribution will no longer be collected/remitted during the annual due’s renewal process. You must electronically remit your annual donations via the Member Portal.

Diamond/Golden Life Member Total: $160 ($10 Per Capita, $150 Local Dues)

Regular Member Total: $350 ($190 National Dues, $10 Per Capita, $150 Local Dues)
