On behalf of the Butler Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), welcome to the 2025 to 2026 school year! We use this weekly e-newsletter to help keep you informed - please read it each week. In addition, view the PTO website, and join the official Simon Butler PTO private Facebook page.

The Butler PTO is in need of volunteers to help plan our Butler events throughout the year. We have events starting soon and can use your help. Please see the list of events available and Sign up to help by October 15th. We appreciate your time and support to make these events great for our students.

**Please note: You must have your volunteer clearances completed prior to signing up for lunch duty. All volunteer opportunities are subject to change based on District guidelines. We ask that you please refrain from cell phone usage during your volunteer shift. Unfortunately, younger siblings are no longer permitted to accompany volunteers.

BACK TO SCHOOL PROMO

L&M Orthodontics is supporting our community as students head back to school!

For every new patient who begins orthodontic treatment and mentions Butler PTO, L&M Orthodontics will donate $50 directly to our PTO. This offer will be in effect until October 30,2025.

Butler Teachers vs. The Harlem Wizards!

November 6th, 2025, at CB South

The Harlem Wizards are coming to town next school year for a night of high-flying, rim-rocking basketball fun—and guess who they’re playing? Our very own Butler teachers! That’s right, this family-friendly fundraiser will be a night full of tricks, laughs, and community spirit, all in support of Butler Elementary School.

Download the Box Tops for Education App and scan your receipts to earn money for our school. Click here for more info. Do you shop at Walmart Connect your Walmart and Box Tops accounts so you can earn cash for Butler without scanning or submitting your receipts!

MY PAYMENTS PLUS VS. MY SCHOOL BUCKS

My Payments Plus is a free, secured, online account which allows you to pay for student fees, field trips, PTO events, summer classes, etc. This is used district-wide, so we encourage all families to register for an account. To sign up, simply visit: MyPaymentsPlus.com and click on “Register a Free Account.” You will need your child's student identification number to set up the account, which can be found in the parent portal.

My School Bucks is a free, secured online account which allows you to pay for school meals. It allows you to have a digital option for lunches (no cards – the cafeteria staff look up the child’s name at the register) as well as see what items your child is purchasing in the cafeteria. To access My School Bucks, please visit MySchoolBucks.com. You will need your child's student identification number to set up the account, which can be found in the parent portal.

BUTLER ONLINE APPAREL STORE

The Butler Bears Apparel Store is now open online! This online store will be open year-round and orders may be placed at any time and ship right to your home. Choose from more than 100 items of various colors and designs for the entire family! Questions? Contact Amy.

YOU MUST HAVE CLEARANCES TO VOLUNTEER

In order to volunteer in the classroom, you must have current volunteer clearances through CBSD. Questions? Contact Michelle Droxler.

The process is EASY and all done online using Raptor Volunteer Safe. Every CB volunteer will need to register and upload their clearances.

Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children obtain background checks and clearances. Click here for the required clearances, along with links to the state’s websites.
