Welcome Back written against a background of fall foliage
Campus has not been the same without the buzz and bustle of students around, so faculty and staff are happy to have you back. There are many exciting events in the upcoming weeks and we hope to see you there!
Body Positive Brandeis - Join the movement! Student facilitators wanted to lead groups for the general student body and for grad students, people of color, transgender/non-binary/gender non-conforming students, and student athletes.
Body Positive Brandeis is a brand new wellness initiative that promotes a campus culture of body acceptance and empowerment. We are looking for students passionate about body positivity to facilitate peer groups for Brandeis graduate and undergraduate students.

Priority deadline to apply is Monday, September 9th.
Don't drink or smoke? You're not alone. Join likeminded students, chat about building a vibrant social life on campus, and enjoy some food! Let's build community together.

Helpful hints to keep you well this fall
The semester is just beginning, but it is never too soon to prioritize wellness. Here are some tips to keep you well and help you maintain balance.

  1. Plan ahead! Put all important dates and assignments from your syllabi into your calendar or planner as soon as you can. This will allow you to look ahead and plan your time as needed. Don't forget to include other activities like work, club meetings, and even time with friends!
  2. Say "no" when you need to. There are so many opportunities to get involved on campus, but don't forget to be realistic about your time and commitments. By focusing on quality over quantity, you can engage fully in the opportunities that you choose to prioritize.
  3. Establish a healthy baseline. Prioritize nutrition, sleep, and physical activity early in the semester. As you move further into the year it may become more difficult to maintain balance. If you build healthy habits early in the semester, it will be much easier to stick to them as the year progresses.
  4. Make time to recharge. Ensure that you take time for yourself to rest and relax. It is easy to spend all of your time with others in the first few weeks because you may be making new friends or reconnecting with people you haven't seen all summer. Don't be afraid to take time alone if you need it.
  5. Wash your hands! This may seem like a no-brainer, but coming back to campus means being around a lot of people and their germs. Wash your hands often and get your flu shot to avoid getting sick once the semester gets going.
