An eventful start to the new fiscal year
There is a lot to celebrate as we begin a new fiscal year here at Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay. We just welcomed the first two families to our Rodeo Creek Court project with a home dedication ceremony, our Santa Cruz ReStore moved to Watsonville, we are once again welcoming groups and businesses teams to volunteer at our build site, and we are underway on an ADU project in Marina.

Because of the incredible generosity of our supporters and community this past year, we have been able to continue building, staying on track with our projects so that more families can have the chance at first time homeownership, which is getting further and further out of reach for many in our region.

We have some exciting opportunities to get involved with Habitat as the summer winds down. And as always, thank you for your continued support of affordable housing!
Welcome Campbell and Reyes-Silva Families!
Check out the video of our home dedication ceremony from July 17th, welcoming our first two families into Rodeo Creek Court. The Campbell and Reyes-Silva families have been steadily working on their sweat equity volunteer hours, and we couldn't be more proud of their accomplishment. This month, they will be completing the closing process and purchasing their homes with an affordable mortgage. Homeownership has been proven to be the first step to a safe and stable future, and both families are looking forward to having the space and security that their own homes will bring.
ReStore is now in Watsonville!
After six years at the Swift Street location our Santa Cruz ReStore has moved to 555 Main Street in Watsonville! We are planning a grand opening in a few weeks so stay tuned for more details. We will have the same excellent staff and customer service you've been used to in our Santa Cruz location, with easy access from Highways 1 and 129. In the mean time, find out more about donations and sales at the button below. Thanks for supporting the ReStores!
Volunteer Opportunities
With Covid-19 restrictions easing, and continuing vaccinations, we are opening up more opportunities to volunteer and build affordable homes for families in your community!

Sign up for an individual shift either at our construction site, Rodeo Creek Court, or at one of the two ReStore locations, Watsonville and Seaside. Click here to go to the sign up page.

We are also excited to be partnering with the Concorso Italiano car show at Bayonet Black Horse golf course in Seaside August 14th. By signing up for a volunteer shift to assist at or before the event, you can help support building affordable homes with Habitat Monterey Bay! Click here for the shift schedule, and make sure to choose Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay as the designated charity, and Concorso will donate to Habitat for every hour worked! You also get free admission to the show.

We look forward to seeing you and thank you for your support of families in our community!
Donor Story
"I have first hand experience in my neighborhood of the work that Habitat for Humanity does, and I know that many dedicated volunteer hours go into the making of Habitat homes. I love the way families help to build the homes along with volunteers, and that their model is not "one size fits all". They make great use of the land and space that already exists, providing much needed affordable housing in our community. What Habitat for Humanity does really works!" - Lin Colavin, long time monthly donor.

If you'd like to join Lin in making a donation to Habitat, click the button below. There are many ways to show your support, and every gift counts! We are so grateful for those who share our vision of a world where everyone has a decent and affordable place to live.
Thank you to our FY22 sponsors and donors!*
