Summertime is here! June 21 marked the summer solstice; the first day of summer. Daylight hours have stretched a little each day until now - the longest daylight day in the northern hemisphere. Our Asian Pears are soaking in the warm sunshine and growing into full-size fruit.

During June, our orchard team has been adding wax-lined paper bags to trick the yellow skins of the AsaJu Asian Pears into growing extra thin. This nearly translucent result makes the overall experience of crunching into these pears, well...extra wonderful!
