Happy New Year! They say that gets old soon, but as my first message of 2025 - I do want you to know we are looking forward to this year as one that expands our efforts to support you and the voice you need at all levels of government. We'll be kicking that off with our very first "Meet the MP at the Log Cabin" on January 29. I'll send out specific details next week but we know there is building concern around international relations and the future of both the federal and provincial government directions with two elections anticipated in 2025.

My first day back wasn't spent in the office, but it was great to be in the room with community leaders (and so many Board members!) along with elected representatives from across the Bay of Quinte region on Monday thanks to Sandi Ramsay, ED for Centre for Workforce Development. The Round Table speed-share on workforce concerns and needs from government in education, policing, tourism/small business, healthcare, military, real estate/housing and immigration was the perfect way to confirm why we work better together.

There's lots more to read through below so don't let me keep you!

GLEANERS SCORES!

It's taken a few months to capture the moment, but Jodie Jenkins stopped by to pick up Gleaners' earnings from the 2024 BCC Golf Tournament. Between sponsorships and raffle contributions (along with some amazing live auction items & prizes), Gleaners raised over $12,000 for their mission by partnering with the Belleville Chamber.

We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Gleaners volunteers to make the past two tournaments AMAZING and are thrilled for their success.

Is your charity eager to explore fund-raising opportunities through a golf tournament?

Collaboration is an ideal way for a charity or volunteer committee unfamiliar with hosting golf tournaments to decide if it is a good fit for their organization.

Applications ARE OPEN NOW until January 30th to BCC charity members for the 2025/2026 tournament schedule (partnerships extend for two tournaments).
