Welcome to fall rowing! Lots of information in this newsletter, so grab a snack and settle in!

Please also forward this email to any parents who aren't yet on the distribution list. This will be our main avenue of communication from the office. PERMISSION SLIP DUE BY 9/15

JL STORE IS OPEN

Your athlete MUST be registered to come to the boathouse. To participate in practice, they must also sign the risk and release and have an active float test on file.

Novice Registration is available online until September 3:

• Novice Boys registration (practice starts 9/8).
• Novice Girls registration (practice starts 9/8).

After Sept 3, call the office to register at 206-684-4074.

Online registration for the experienced team has closed, however there is still space available! Call the office at 206-684-4074 to register.

Experienced practice starts THIS WEEK Wednesday! Because SPS does not have early release the first week of school, the first day of practice (9/2) will meet 4:15-6:45pm (regardless of teacher strike status).

Starting Thursday 9/3, experienced teams will practice:

• Mon / Tues / Thurs / Fri 4:15-6:45pm
• Wed 3:30-6pm
• Saturday 7-9am

Novice practice starts Tuesday, September 8, 4:15-6:45pm. Novices will practice:

• Mon / Tues / Thurs / Fri 4:15-6:45pm
• Wed 3:30-6pm
• NO Saturday practice

The season will run until Monday, November 2nd.

New to all this? Want to meet other parents? Come to our parent info session where we'll give you all the pertinent info for fall season!

• Novice Parents: Wednesday, Sept 9, 5:30-6:30pm
• Experienced Parents: Saturday, Sept 19, 8:30-9:30am

Meetings will start during the last 30 minutes of practice, and your athlete's coach will join us at the end of practice to answer any questions.

We need the fall sesson permission slips for all junior athletes. Fill yours out using Adobe Acrobat at the link below prior to the first regatta. DUE SEPTEMBER 15, PLEASE!

The Green Lake Crew team store is now open. At the JL Team Store site, you can use your own credit card to order required team uniform items as well as training gear. Everyone MUST get their order in by the end of the day on Sept 11.

Orders over $149 will qualify for free shipping. Orders are set to ship individually (no boathouse pickup) so please be sure to enter a valid shipping address with your order (orders cannot be delivered to a PO Box). Orders will be shipped via FedEx and may require a signature for delivery. You can sign up for a MyFedEx account to manage delivery to set vacation holds or request that packages be held at a FedEx location.

If you miss the store closing date, you will need to order your uniform individually from JL. For late orders, pricing and shipping will differ from those for a team purchase.

The site provides information to help you place your order, including a size guide for the garments. If you have further questions about garment sizing, please contact customerservice@jlracing.com.

The office will have novice tank tops available for purchase, but no other gear.
